Being Human

The purpose of the TV program being human is to provide escapism as well as entertainment for its audiences; I came to this conclusion  after analysing the type of world our three main characters live in.  Using mythical monsters e.g. werewolves, ghost and vampires displays to the audience that the show is based on fan-fictions, fused with a hint of horror and comedy to balance it with the real world. By providing the viewers with mixed genres, encourages the TV show, with various ways to improve or even adapt to its targeted audience. Tully another werewolf befriends George and begins to take him under his wing; shown in season number one, episode number one and  aired On February 1, 2009. What I discovered while watching this TV show is how it displays drama with a realistic approach by giving the characters a dilemma to overcome in every  single episode; this can relate to the viewers, since they have to face that fact that life will challenge them in many ways from: Relationships, work , friends, family as well as society. Gradually the viewers can correlate comparisons between them as the 3 main chapters, whose purposes are to involve the audiences while relating to them; an example of this can be seen in
Season number: 1
Episode number: 2
Air date: February 1, 2009 ;  Another werewolf befriends George and begins to take him under his wing. This episodes purpose was to display loneliness and isolation as well as segregation. By playing on George's  emotion to come into terms with his inner-beast since he's unable to control his transformation; because of this he could not fully relate to the other main characters, who are also suffered from the same dilemma as him. In response to this problem he decided to trust the other werewolf, who was also suffering the same problems of “being different” and not “being human”  but mainly being lonely. Not soon after Tully the other werewolf finally befriends George, while influencing his personality, style and friendship, Causing him to fall other with his real friends in the process. To me the purpose of this episode was to connotes to the relationships between friends  as well as influences your life in the process, which was the purpose of this episode. Overall this TV show was purely made to create a world similar to ours but with supernatural twists intertwined  into it, to entertain the audiences as well as create escapism for them away from their world ; at the same time while adding different everyday dilemma at the start middle of the episode which they have to solve at the end of the episode .

The production process for the script is well made thanks to  Being Human writer and creator, Toby Whithouse ; Toby described his idea as just a quick layout of three characters a werewolf ,vampire and a ghost just sharing a house together;but later on he decided to expand on the story. Cosmetics was used in one of the very first scene where George transformed into a werewolf, additionally computer generated images also mixed which complimented the cosmetic makeup very well, displaying a more smooth so what  realistic transformation.Being Human Youtube Textual analysis
